In January, 2009 I was fortunate enough to join 76 other photographers for a 15-day photographic expedition to Antarctica. The images in this gallery are from shore landings and zodiac cruises along the Antarctic peninsula. Photos from this trip are available in a large format photo book.
A collection of images from various Seattle Storm WNBA games, as well as other team activities and events.
In February 2013 I spent a week shooting around the Moab, UT area, with a heavy focus on Canyonlands National Park and Arches National Park.
In late October/early November I spent two weeks driving around the American Southwest (primarily in Arizona and Utah). It's a beautiful time of year to visit that part of the country!
In the fall of 2009 I travelled on a nine day, five national park, tour of Southern Utah. The scenery was breathtaking, and 9 days clearly wasn't enough time to see it all. A second, longer, trip is planned for the fall of 2010.
I've lived in Washington State for more than a decade, and up until December of 2009 I'd only visited the coast 2-3 times. It's a shame, since the coast is full of beautiful photography opportunities. As of December 2009 I've started making regular visits to the area around Forks, WA, with a group of close photography friends. Even a three day trip can revitalize the photographer in me.
The Palouse region of Eastern Washington is a favourite destination for photographers in the late summer. Rolling hills combine with fields of winter wheat to create beautiful landscapes. On my trip to the region in late July 2010 I challenged myself to capture the scenery in a way that avoided the cliche "rolling hill" shot.
In the spring of 2010 I travelled to Death Valley as part of a small photographic workshop with John Paul Caponigro. Since the location is heavily photographed I challenged myself to try and come up with unique ways to capture the varied landscape.
